Mongoose-V
The Mongoose-V is a microprocessor protected against hard radiation that was developed for use in space vehicles. It provides an extended 10-15 MHz version of the MIPS R3000 - CPU is in from. Synova developed Mongoose-V was first in the satellite Earth Observing-1 used.

The Mongoose-V has 32 32-bit general purpose registers and 15 32-bit special registers. The Hi / Lo register pair is used to send operands and results to the multiplier or divider.
