Monica Isakstuen

Monica Isakstuen Stavlund (born October 19, 1976 in Oslo , Norway ) is a Norwegian writer .

Life

After her debut as an author in 2008 with the collection of poems Sånn, borte borte debuted as a writer with her first novel in 2009. Their major national breakthrough had in 2016 with her third novel Vær med snill dyrene (German edition: parents . Calibration fount 2018). The approximately 200-page story, told episodically, deals with the mother's perspective after a divorce with custody. The book was praised by critics, awarded the renowned Brageprisen and nominated on the longlist of the P2 listener's novel price .

Isakstuen grew up in Asker, a suburb of Oslo . She has lived and worked in Fredrikstad since 2015 .
