Monika Führer (table tennis player)

Monika Führer (born August 8, 1990 ) is a Swiss table tennis player .

Life

Monika Führer was born on August 8, 1990. She grew up at TTC Neuhausen and at the age of 17 moved to Germany in the 2nd Bundesliga North to SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen , where she was active in the 2007/08 season because she couldn't find suitable opponents in Switzerland. She is a four-time Swiss champion .

From 2014 to 2016 she played in the German Regionalliga Südwest at ESV Weil am Rhein, together with Rahel Aschwanden . She rose with the club in the 2013/14 season from the regional league to the newly created 3rd Bundesliga. In 2016 she moved to TTF Stühlingen.

Since 2006 (until 2011) she took part in five world championships , but never came close to medal ranks.
