Monika Hendricks

Monika Hendricks (born March 3, 1947 in Rösrath ; † June 4, 2012 ) was a German works councilor .

Career

Hendricks worked for the insurance group AachenMünchener for more than 40 years until she retired . From 1984 to 2010 she was chairman of the general works council of AachenMünchener Versicherungen AG and from 1990 to 2010 chairman of the group works council of Generali Deutschland Holding AG . In both companies she was also deputy chairwoman of the supervisory board . As a representative of employee interests, she drafted social plans and helped to avert location closures and relocations of parts of the company abroad. In recent years, the focus of her work has been on the organization of family-friendly working hours and the compatibility of family and work in the company.

She was also an honorary judge at the Cologne Labor Court from 1998 to 2008 . Since 1998 she has been supporting social projects in the initiative of the order winners of the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis and was chairwoman of the association from 2004 to 2007.

  • 2011: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany "for your extraordinary commitment in the works council of a large insurance company"
