Monique Jaquet

Monique Jaquet (* late 1930 or early 1931 ) is a former Swiss table tennis player . In the 1950s and 1960s she was one of the best players in the country.

Career

Monique Jaquet ended the era of Alice Grandchamp and won 32 titles at the Swiss National Championships between 1953 and 1971 : 11 times in singles, 13 times in doubles and eight times in mixed. She took part in seven world championships and several European championships , but never came close to medal ranks. In 1984 she became Senior World Champion in doubles in the 50+ class alongside the Japanese Sasaki.

In the mid-1960s, Monique Jaquet played for Rapid Geneva. after her marriage (before April 1981) she appeared under the name Antal-Jaquet .
