The Monitor Group was up to its bankruptcy, a global US-based consulting firm . It was founded in 1983 by Michael Porter , Mark Fuller, Joseph Fuller, Michael Bell, Mark Thomas and Thomas Craig, who are affiliated with Harvard Business School . Monitor offered advice on corporate strategy in particular. Monitor went bankrupt in 2012 and was later taken over by Deloitte .

The Monitor Group was headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts . In 28 cities around the world, including Munich and Zurich in the German-speaking area , it employed a total of around 1,500 people. There were numerous well-known people among the former employees. Almost all of the Monitor Group's employees were recruited from well-known universities.

Customers

The Monitor Group did not officially disclose the identities of its customers, but they included well-known Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Some of the projects appeared in the press because of their official nature: the collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support , a UK cancer care and support organization; a major initiative with the Libyan government and an innovative organizational project for the University of California.
