Mono Pond State Park Reserve is a state park in the US state of Connecticut in the territory of the Columbia township , 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Willimantic .
geography
The mono Pond covers 113 acres (46 ha) of south to north and dewatered on the Gifford Brook , which extends in the north-east to Tenmile River out. In its northern part there is a large island. The highest point in the park rises to 541 ft (165 m) above sea level .
free time activities
The lake may be used with motor boats (with a speed limit: 8-hp limit) and non-motorized boats. There are also opportunities for fishing, hiking and hunting.
