The Mont Chauve (French for bald mountain ) is a 33 m high and rocky hill on the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It rises on the northwestern foothills of Cape Margerie .
The hill was given its descriptive name in 1950 by participants in a French Antarctic expedition.
