The Mont Nabebe , also Mont Nabeba or Mont Nabemba , is the highest mountain in the Republic of Congo with a height of 1020 m .

Geographical location

The mountain is located in the Congolese department of Sangha .

Natural resources

There are iron ore deposits in the vicinity of the mountain . Sundance Resources , an Australian mining company, is already drilling to begin production on the entire mountain later. The aim of the company, in cooperation with the Congolese authorities, is to bring the iron from the Congo onto the market in 2017 and to produce 35 million tons per year.

Trivia

The Tour Nabemba skyscraper in Brazzaville , the capital of the republic, was named after the mountain.
