The Mont Rose ( English Mount Rose ) is a 22 m high and rocky hill on the east side of the Pétrel Island in the East Antarctic Géologie Archipelago . It rises south of Mont Cervin .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition mapped it in 1951 and named it because of its shape after Monte Rosa ( French Mont Rose ) in the Valais Alps .
