Montag (or Mon) tag ) is a band from Hamburg , founded in 1999 , which is under contract with the label Mural Records .
history
The band was founded on November 5th, 1999 by Julian Friedrich, Dominik Pobot and Jan Ostendorf in Hamburg . The musicians themselves describe their style as "cinematic pop-rock". Her first album Gefallen was released in 2003 and the single Wofür in the same year . Sender followed 2 years later . After a long break, the album Montag was created in 2009 with the single A Thousand Years Are One Day , a cover version of Udo Juergens ' theme song for the cartoon series Once upon a time ... man .
Previously, Friedrich and Pobot had published a piano piece called Home under their surnames as the project name , which became known in 2008 through an Ikea commercial.
