Montes is a city in Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the eastern part of the Canelones Department in sector 9 . In the east, the city is touched by the Arroyo Solís Grande , which also forms the border to the neighboring Lavalleja . Migues is the closest town about 10 kilometers west of Montes .

history

On November 3, 1952, Montes was classified in the "Pueblo" category by Law No. 11,878.
