As of July 1, 2019, there were a total of 1041 buildings in the Gironde department that were listed as a monument historique as a whole or in part (only facade, bell tower of a church or portal, etc.) .

Of the 534 communes in the Gironde department, 332 have at least one monument historique and there is no monument historique in 202 communes.
