Coordinates: 30 ° 38 ′ S , 116 ° 0 ′ E The Shire of Moora is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3767 km² and has about 2500 inhabitants (2016).
Moora is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the west of the state about 150 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the city of Moora, where 1500 inhabitants live (2016). Lake Dalaroo belongs to the area .

The Moora Council has nine members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Moora is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
