The Moosacherstrasse St. Martin's Place is located in Munich's Moosach .

history

Moosacher St.-Martins-Platz is located on Pelkovenstraße east of the old parish church of St. Martin . This has been the oldest church in the city since Moosach was incorporated into the state capital of Munich in 1913. To the south, the square is bounded by the Pelkovenschlössl . Both buildings originally formed the center of Alt-Moosach. The Moosacher Maypole Festival traditionally takes place on the square with dancing and gunfire.

With the Moosacher St.-Martins-Platz underground station of the same name , the square is connected to the U3 line .

Others

There is another St. Martins Square in front of the funeral hall of the Ostfriedhof in Obergiesing . This square, which was incorporated into Munich with Giesing as early as 1854, like the tram station there (line 18), has no additions.
