Mopreme Shakur , actually Maurice Harding Shakur , also Komani (* 1969 in New York City ) is an American rapper .

Life

Mopreme is the son of Mutulu Shakur and step brother of the rapper Tupac Shakur . Mopreme appeared for the first time in 1990 on the single It feels good by the American RnB & Soul group Tony! Toni! Toné! under the alias "Mocedes". In 1993, under the pseudonym Wycked, the first collaboration with his stepbrother Tupac was born: Papa'z Song from the album Strictly 4 My NIGGAZ The album reached number 24 on the Billboard 200 charts. In the same year Mopreme and Tupac formed the group "Thug Life" with their friends Big Syke , Macadoshis and The Rated R. On September 26, 1994 the group released their first and only album Thug Life: Vol 1 . Mopreme is the lyricist for many of the pieces featured on the album, such as B .: Cradle to the Grave and Bury Me a G called. In 1995 he was one of the founding members of the Outlawz , but left the band in 1999 together with Big Syke.

Mopreme Shakur has worked in numerous film productions.
