Moritz Hahn

Johann Moritz Hahn (born February 1, 1856 in Heßloch ; † May 31, 1952 there ) was a Hessian politician ( DVP ) and a former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Moritz Hahn was the son of the farmer Jakob Ferdinand Hahn (1829–1877) and his wife Therese nee Heinrichs (1833–1905). Moritz Hahn, who was a Catholic, was married to Magdalene, born Schaffner (1869–1954). He worked as a farmer in Hessloch.

Moritz Hahn politically joined the DVP in the Weimar Republic . He was mayor of Hessloch from 1891 to 1925 and member of the state parliament in Darmstadt from 1919 to 1924. In Parliament he was a member of the Presidium as secretary. He was also active in professional organizations. He was vice president of the Hessian Chamber of Agriculture , member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council and member of the board of the German Agriculture Council .
