Moritz Trompertz

Moritz Trompertz (born September 21, 1995 in Cologne ) is a German national hockey player .

Moritz Trompertz has played for Rot-Weiss Köln since his youth , but moved to Uhlenhorst Mülheim in the B-youth , before returning to the first team in Cologne. In 2013, 2015 and 2016 he won the German open-air championship with the Cologne team.

At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Moritz Trompertz was represented in the German squad together with five other Rot-Weiss Köln players. The German team won the bronze medal.

For winning the bronze medal, he and the Olympic hockey team received the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 .

The former U21 world champion has played a total of 26 international matches so far. (As of April 3, 2017)

Trompertz completed his Abitur at the Apostle High School in Cologne and studied law in Cologne.
