The Morris Basin is a 15 km² basin in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains , it is in the northern part of the Ricker Hills . While the southern part of the basin is ice-free, the northern part is occupied by a glacier tongue .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1956 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Robert W. Morris, a biologist at McMurdo Station in two consecutive Antarctic summer campaigns between 1965 and 1967.
