In 2011 Yousef gave a lecture at the 2nd German Israel Congress in Frankfurt am Main . His story was filmed in 2014 under the title The Green Prince .

In 2019, his brother Suheib Jussef, who worked from Turkey for the political arm of Hamas and performed intelligence tasks such as wiretapping leaders of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah, fled to Southeast Asia.
