Moshe Kastel

Mosche Kastel ( משה קסטל; * 1909 in Jerusalem ; † 1991 in Tel Aviv ) was an Israeli painter.

Life

He was born into a Sephardic family. Kastel studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design , the Académie Julian and the École du Louvre in Paris , the city where he had lived for 15 years.

His murals can be seen in several Israeli emblematic buildings: the Binyanei Ha'umá (1958), the Knesset (1966) or the residence of the Israeli President (1970).
