history

On May 28, 1945, the state-owned company Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Mostów i Konstrukcji Stalowych “ Mostostal ” was founded in Krakow to rebuild bridges and other steel structures . In 1946 the company was relocated to Zabrze and in 1951 it was converted into a central office for steel structures. Furthermore, other companies with the name Mostostal were founded in various large cities, including Mostostal in Zabrze.

In 1991, Mostostal founded six limited liability companies in Zabrze as assembly and production companies on site with mostly private capital. On November 1st, 1992 the company was privatized and registered under the name Mostostal Zabrze Holding SA . The first shares were listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on October 5, 1994 . The company also became active abroad and since then has had a branch in Lüdenscheid in Germany .

In 1998 the company acquired a majority stake in Gliwicki Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego SA. In 2001, Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych SA was taken over. In 2006, the creditors reached an agreement, which was implemented in 2007 with the issue of additional shares.

Following a restructuring in 2013, the name of the parent company has been shortened and is since December 31, 2013 Mostostal Zabrze SA The brand Mostostal Zabrze was then introduced in the proper name of the subsidiary. On July 1, 2018, the operational activities related to the implementation of construction contracts were transferred to the subsidiary Mostostal Zabrze Realizacje Przemysłowe SA , which has a leading role within the group of companies in the implementation of construction and assembly works in the energy and environmental protection industry, the chemical and petrochemical industry, the iron and steel industry and non-ferrous metallurgy as well as in the construction of bridge structures.
