Mototechna was a state company in Czechoslovakia . Today the stock corporation deals with the new car trade, workshop services and car financing options.

history

Mototechna was founded at the beginning of the 1950s and was the monopoly organization that was allowed to deal with the distribution of new and used vehicles and their spare parts. Mototechna was also responsible for export and was a retail company.

Mototechna imported Trabant , Wartburg , Simca , GAZ , and Moskvich vehicles into Czechoslovakia . Later, the brands Fiat , Renault , Ford and Saab were also offered. Chrysler and Toyota made their way onto government automobile price lists in the 1970s and 80s.

In 1992 the state enterprise was privatized. Mototechna is now a stock corporation that offers new vehicles, but also financing options or workshop services. Škoda vehicles are the main business of the company, which is aimed at the Czech market.
