At 3,135 m, Mount Aorangi is the highest mountain in the Millen Range in the Victory Mountains of the East Antarctic Victoria Land .
Members of the New Zealand Federated Mountain Club Antarctic Expedition (1962–1963) named it after the term "aorangi" from the Māori , which means something like "cloud piercer".
