Mount Atlas is an extinct volcano in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises on the northeast side of Mount Pleiones in the group The Pleiades and is its highest peak with a height of 3040 m .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after Atlas , a titan from Greek mythology.
