Mount Augusta is a mountain peak about four kilometers east of Mount Wild at the southern end of the Queen Alexandra chain in the Transantarctic Mountains .
The summit was discovered by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907–1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . It is named after Augusta Swinford-Edwards, a relative of Shackleton's.
