Mount Cheops is a more than 610 m (according to the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee about 620 m ) high mountain on the Graham Coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 13 km south-southeast of Cape García on the Felipe Solo Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from the years 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on July 7, 1959 after the Great Pyramid of Cheops , as its shape is reminiscent of this building.
