The Mount Collins is a dark and flattened mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains it rises 22 km west of the Fisher massif .
John Michael Seaton, flight officer of the Royal Australian Air Force , discovered him on a reconnaissance flight as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in November 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Neville Joseph Collins (* 1925), chief mechanic for diesel engines on the Mawson station in 1957 and 1960.
