Mount Davidson is a 1,560 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the head of the Albrecht Penck Glacier in the Prince Albert Mountains . According to New Zealand geodesics, it should reach a height of 2477 m and would be the highest mountain in the Prince Albert Mountains.
Participants of the British Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) discovered it and named the mountain after the surgeon George Adam Davidson (1874-1906), ship's doctor on the Morning , one of two rescue ships on the research trip .
