Mount Elder is a 940 m high mountain on Elephant Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It looms between the Endurance Glacier and Mount Pendragon .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on January 5, 1972 after John Pullar Elder, geodesist of the UK Joint Services Expedition to Elephant Island (1970–1971).
