Mount Feury is a mountain on Thurston Island off the Eights coast of West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises on the northeast side of the Noville Peninsula between the Sikorski and Frankenfield glaciers .
Its position was first determined from aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in December 1946, which were created during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after James A. Feury (1899-1977), mechanic and snowmobile driver on the first Antarctic expedition (1928-1930) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
