Mount Field is a 3,010 m high mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . It rises about 5 km south-southeast of Mount Egerton in the Churchill Mountains .
Participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904), led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott, discovered and named him. The exact background of the naming is unknown.
