Mount Fraser is a 1610 m high mountain on the south coast of South Georgia . It rises there immediately north of Novosilski Bay .
The South Georgia Survey surveyed the mountain between 1951 and 1957 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1958 after the British zoologist Francis Charles Fraser (1903-1978), member of the scientific staff of the marine research station in Grytviken during three campaigns of the Discovery Investigations between 1926 and 1930 and also a crew member during the research trips of the RSS Discovery in 1927 and the RRS Discovery II between 1929 and 1931.
