The Nowosilski Bay is a 3-km wide bay on the south coast of South Georgia . It is located immediately south of Mount Fraser .
The bay was discovered and named Saliw Novosilskowo ( Russian Залив Новосильского ) in 1819 during the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819-1821) under the direction of Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen . It is named after Lieutenant Pawel M. Nowosilski, an officer of the Mirny under Captain Mikhail Lasarew on this research trip.
