Mount Fries is a striking and 1985 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises immediately south of the mouth of the Zeller Glacier in the Byrd Glacier and is one of the westernmost peaks along the south face of the Byrd Glacier.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after Robert H. Fries, aurora researcher at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 1963.
