The Mount Haidinger is a 3068 m high mountain in the Southern Alps .
The mountain, named after the Austrian geologist Wilhelm Ritter von Haidinger and conquered for the first time in 1897 by mountaineers TC Fyfe and M. Ross , is located in the Mount Cook National Park .
