Mount Hornsby is an approximately 1360 m high, distinctive and snow-covered mountain in Grahamland on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Trinity Peninsula, it rises on the southern flank of the central section of the Sjogren Glacier .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1960 and 1961. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on February 12, 1964 after Richard Hornsby & Sons from Grantham , which was dissolved in 1918 , developer and manufacturer of numerous tracked vehicles for the British War Office .
