Mount Hunter is a 1566 m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It rises 4.25 km southeast of Potter Peak in the Sweeney Mountains . A 7.5 km long ridge extends from it in a south-westerly direction.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009 after the sedimentologist Morag A. Hunter (* 1970), whose work from 1997 enabled stratigraphy in this area.
