Mount Koons is a small mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 1.5 km east of Miller Butte in the group of the Outback Nunatakker .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Robert W. Koons, logistics coordinator at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1968.
