Mount Macelwane is a mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It is the highest mountain in the eastern part of the Nash Hills .
His position determined on December 10, 1959 participants of a US team to explore the Ellsworthland. It is named after James B. Macelwane (1883–1956), first chairman of the technical committee for seismology and gravity set up by the National Academy of Sciences in the US national committee for the International Geophysical Year (1957–1958).
