Mount Nemesis is a 790 m high mountain on the Fallières coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 3 km northeast of the seaward end of the Roman Four Promontory immediately north of the Neny Fjord .
Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill in 1936 made the first measurements of the mountain . The name probably goes back to scientists of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). It is named after Nemesis , goddess of “just anger” from Greek mythology .
