Mount Pechell is a 1320 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Anare Mountains, it towers over the western end of Hedgpeth Heights .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered and roughly mapped it in January 1841 as part of his Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1839 to 1843. It is named after the future Admiral Samuel John Brooke Pechell (1785–1849), then a Junior Lord of the British Admiralty .
