Mount Perseverance is a mountain peak in Victoria Land , East Antarctica . It rises at the southern end of a ridge that runs above the Benson Glacier from Mount Whitcombe .
The northern New Zealand survey team of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) mapped and named it in 1957. It is named after the fact that the summit was the last examined object of the lengthy survey work of this team ( English perseverance = German endurance , perseverance ).
