Mount Riiser-Larsen is a 870 m high and striking mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises at the northwestern end of the Tula Mountains on the east bank of Amundsen Bay .
He was named in January 1930 during the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . It is named after the Norwegian aviation pioneer and polar explorer Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen (1890–1965), leader of the Norwegian expedition that was carried out at the same time on Norvegia in this region of Antarctica.
