Mount Separation is a 1480 m high and rocky mountain peak on the island of Heard , which belongs to the Australian outer area of the Heard and McDonald Islands in the southern Indian Ocean. It rises 1.5 km northeast of Campbell Peak on the northeast flank of Big Ben .
Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions surveyed and named it in 1948. It is named after its isolated location compared to other sub-peaks of Big Ben.
