Mount Wild is a mountain in Antarctica's Ross Dependency . It rises around 4 km west of Mount Augusta on the southwestern foothills of the Queen Alexandra chain .
The southern group of the Nimrod Expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered him. It is named after Frank Wild (1873–1939), a participant in the expedition and member of the southern group, who was involved in a total of four research trips to the Antarctic.
