Mourad Khirat (born September 19, 1961 in Paris ) is a former French football player .

Career

The player, whose younger brother Ferhat Khirat was also a professional footballer, began his career as a youth at the FC Sochaux training center . In a club whose storm included the national player Patrick Parizon and the later national player Yannick Stopyra , he did not make the leap into the first team. Nevertheless, he booked for this from the season 1978/79 on a total of three missions and one goal in the top French division, in which he could never return afterwards. When he was loaned to Paris FC for one season in 1980 , he moved to his hometown, where he was part of the second division team, but could not assert himself in this, so that he could not get beyond occasional appearances.

At Sochaux, those responsible decided against continuing to employ the young player, who found a new employer in the third division AS Poissy in 1981 . In this division he remained for years, even if he held a regular place at Poissy. With his move to SC Amiens in 1986, he made the leap into the second division. Although he ran for the club regularly, did not prevent relegation in the 1986/87 season and was not kept for another engagement at the end of the season. Subsequently, Khirat ended his career at the age of 25.
