The moutonnée Lake is a lake on the east coast of the West Antarctic Alexander Island . It is 6 km south of Ablation Point in the Moutonnée Valley on the edge of the George VI Sound, which is covered with ice shelves .
The lake was named in 1971 in the course of limnological investigations by the British Antarctic Survey . It is named after the round hump rock ( French Roches moutonnées ) on its banks.
