The Moutonnée Valley is a valley on the east coast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It is located in Ganymede Heights and opens to the east to Moutonnée Lake and the George VI Sound beyond .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1980 based on the name of the lake of the same name. This is named after the round hump rock on its banks ( French Roches moutonnées ).
