Movimiento Libertario (German Libertarian Movement ) is a liberal party in the Republic of Costa Rica . It was founded in 1994 and took part in parliamentary elections for the first time in 1998. Since then, the party has been continuously represented in the legislative assembly , the parliament of Costa Rica. The libertarian movement achieved its best election results so far in 2010, when party founder Otto Guevara Guth achieved third place in the election of the state president with more than 20% of the vote and his party won nine seats in the parliamentary election with almost 15% of the vote. In the election for the Legislative Assembly in 2014, which fell libertarian movement to just under 8% of the vote and has since four Parliament mandates . The libertarian movement has been a member of the international party association Liberale Internationale since 2005 .
